The Project

Reflection
For this project I was in a group of four people however we had different ideas for what we wanted our project to be, because of this we decided to split off into two groups. I worked separately into two groups, the other half of my group split off to try and make a painting with elephant toothpaste. On the day we started our projects my project partner was not there and was not entirely clear on what the idea/ goal of the project was going to be. Unfortunately during this project I contracted the stomach flu and was absent for two work days which was a large amount of work time lost. Due to my absence my partner on this project wasn't entirely clear on what needed to be done and ended up switching to work with the other two people in my group since one of them was also absent for a long time as well. Thus I was left alone to finish the project. I worked hard making a crude paper model of what the device would look like, unfortunately due to lack of resources and time, I wasn't able to redo the reaction I had picked out the many I had done on a larger scale in an Erlenmeyer flask like I'd hoped.
This project was very difficult from being sick and missing valuable work time to having my group split up and my partner switching to work with the other group and leaving me alone. I made many mistakes during this project such as not clearly outlining what I was doing or having a clear plan for what I was going to work on and how that work would get completed. I could have taken the time to plan out what I was doing rather than just jumping straight in with a vague idea of what I was doing. I also should have involved my partner more and made it clear what we were doing and how it worked and helped him to be more involved. Despite these difficulties I did have some strengths; this was my first time being a project leader and I took initiative. Throughout this project I also showed strong work ethic where despite all the setbacks I worked hard to complete this project to it's fullest potential after loosing so much time due to being sick.
